TROY – Anti-homeless spikes were installed outside of Troy Mayor Robin Oda’s office on Thursday, April 15th. To nobody’s surprise, Oda has found another way to display her privilege and hostility towards struggling citizens.
The bold gesture follows another epic Facebook rant by the mayor, who asked “where has our work ethic gone” during a time where individuals are choosing to stay safe from a global pandemic. We already knew she didn’t care about her constituents, but she wanted to make it even more clear.
MCBC reached out to Robin Oda for a comment. She stated that “there are just so many people out there who could be working a job somewhere. I know what it’s like to work really hard, and look at me now. I’m the mayor. So I don’t want to hear any excuses and I definitely don’t want these peasants near my office. Get a job!”
Next week, Oda is proposing a plan to build an interstate that cuts through a lower-class neighborhood. She has not decided which neighborhood yet, but will announce her decision on Facebook next week.
